Speakers' Terms and Conditions

By acceptance as a speaker at the IPBA 2010 Singapore Annual Conference, the speaker agrees and accepts the Terms and Conditions set forth below.

IPBA 2010 Singapore Pte. Ltd. requires that each speaker (“Speaker”) adhere to the following terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) prior to and during the conference (the “Conference”):

Membership
Speaker understands that if he/she is licensed, practicing attorney, he/she must be a member in good standing of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (“IPBA”) at the time of the proposal submission as well as during the Conference.  Non-attorneys are exempt from this requirement.

Registration
Speaker agrees to register as a delegate of the Conference and shall have paid up all registration fees due before his/her name is allowed to be published in the website of the Conference or in any publicity materials of IPBA promoting the Conference.  The refund policy for cancellation of any registration will not apply to Speaker in view of the publicity that the Conference will be generating for Speaker. 

Travel Expenses
Speaker understands that he/she is responsible for his/her own expense and hotel and travel arrangements. 

Audio-Visual Equipment
Speaker agrees that the standard audio visual set, including sound system with microphones; LCD Projector with projector screen, laptop equipped with DVD; CD-Rom and Microsoft Office; easel with paper, pad, and markers; and screen location are at the sole discretion of IPBA 2010 Singapore Pte. Ltd.  If Speaker requires specialty audio-visual equipment, Speaker shall cause the IPBA Committee Chair concerned to submit a written request therefor to Pacific World Conference, the Conference professional organizer by February 28, 2010.

No Commercialism Policy
Speaker agrees to adhere to IPBA 2010 Singapore Pte. Ltd’s no commercialism policy.  Speaker understands that the Conference program is not the appropriate place for promotion of his/her company, product, service, or solution except where such a reference is relevant in the context of the presentation.  Speaker will avoid making such promotional solicitations.

Consent to Publish Reference Material
Speaker authorizes IPBA 2010 Singapore Pte. Ltd. to publish all print and electronic materials provided by Speaker relating to the IPBA 2010 Annual Conference in any form (print, electronic, email, web, etc.)

Authorization to Record Session
Speaker authorizes IPBA 2010 Singapore Pte. Ltd. to record, duplicate, and offer for sale Speaker’s speech/presentation and any portion of Speaker’s participation in the event. Speaker hereby waives any and all rights and claims resulting from the recording, duplication, and sale of the Conference recordings.

The above statement is not applicable to the Former Vice President Al Gore.

Indemnification
Speaker warrants that all authors are properly credited in all Speaker’s presentation materials.  Speaker has the right to make the grants to IPBA 2010 Singapore Pte. Ltd. complete and unencumbered.  Speaker also warrants and represents that none of the material presented in Speaker’s speech/presentation shall infringe any person or entity’s copyright, invade any right of privacy, contain any libelous material, or infringe or violate any other right of any other person or entity.  Speaker will indemnify and hold harmless IPBA 2010 Singapore Pte. Ltd., its employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, parent, affiliates, or subsidiary companies from any claim, suit, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of any breach of any of the above warranties and representations.
