Andrew is a Fellow and Council member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (as well as being on its panel of tutors and is also on the panels of arbitrators of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Law Society Arbitration Scheme and the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. He is also Chairman of the Insolvency Committee of Law Society, Deputy Chairman, Director and Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore and Director of the newly incorporated American Arbitration Association Pte Ltd. In addition, he is a member of both the main and working committees looking into proposed changes to Singapore’s insolvency legislation through the creation of an omnibus Insolvency Act for Singapore.

Andrew has written over 60 articles covering many areas of the law and has contributed to various publications. Andrew’s writings have been cited in decisions of the Singapore Court of Appeal, High Court and District Court.Andrew read law at the National University of Singapore. He is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Chen has been invited by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) of China to draft regulations on the administration of energy saving generation dispatching, and also has been invited by the China Development and Reform Administration to offer her expertise on power & energy legislations and policies. She advises on power market reform, power future transactions, standard form of PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) as well as CGA (Connected Grid Agreement). Chen has successfully advised many large-scale CDM deals in both domestic and international markets and educated various companies on projects of hydro-power stations, wind power stations and biomass energy stations, etc.

Sunshine Law Firm was awarded "National Outstanding Law Firm" by the Ministry of Justice of China in 2008. Chen was awarded "Distinct Contributor to the Legal Profession in Zhejiang Province."

Professional Experience

Ms. Chen specializes in foreign investment, banking and financing, M&A and general corporate work.

Ms. Chen has extensive experience in energy, mining, automobile, retail, real estate, technology and IP projects.  She has advised on various aspects of, and negotiated complicated legal documents in connection with, such projects.  She has also assisted many domestic and international clients from different industries in IPOs, venture capital financing and acquisitions.  Ms. Chen’s clients include many major domestic corporations and Fortune 500 companies.
Ms. Chen has previously worked in the New York office of Jones Day Reavis & Pogue where she advised clients on investment projects in China as well as on international business transactions.

She aspires to be a singing lawyer and was a finalist in the Tokyo Voice Competition 2007. She is married to Junichiro Ike.

After graduating from the law school of Seoul National University and finishing requirements for license as lawyer in Korea, I joined Hwang Mok Park in 1989 and worked in the litigation department over twenty years. Mostly, I worked for foreign clients in various kinds of litigation in the field of corporate law, tax law, labor law, and tort law from the beginning. In 1994-5, I studied in the LL.M class of University of Virginia School of Law as the first Korean student ever admitted to the class. I have primarily took the courses in the international taxation law, international business transaction law, and international arbitration seminar at the law school, which has become valuable academic nutrition for my practice as lawyer after return to Korea. I was also admitted to the New York State Bar in 1999. I have worked on various kinds of litigations involving foreign parties such as large tort claim case, and other contractual or tort claim cases. I am currently handling various cases in the field of corporate law, international transaction, taxation law and labor law, by representing major corporations both domestic and foreign.

Lee Ming’s experience includes stints as coroner, magistrate, and state counsel/deputy public prosecutor, between 1984 and 1990. He practised as a litigation lawyer in Singapore between 1990 and 1998, before joining GIC to head its legal department in 1998.

Lee Ming is Vice-President of the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association, and has contributed a chapter in Leadership and Management Challenges of In-house Legal Counsel published by LexisNexis Butterworths Australia. He has served in various committees and currently serves as a member of the Committee of Legal Education & Studies of the Singapore Academy of Law, and the Inquiry Committee panel under the Legal Profession Act. He is also a director of Maxwell Chambers Pte Ltd, Singapore’s integrated dispute resolution complex.
